Our Missions and Missionaries
Kids Care Mission
Kids Care Mission is sort of an "auxilliary" mission of our church. Funded entirely by donations and sponsorships, KCM serves needy children in Maquina, Dungu-on and Bais City on the island of Negros in the Philippines. Children receive weekly Bible lessons, games and a meal (often their best meal of the week). A monthly gathering after church feeds their families, and food to take home is distributed. School-age children also receive school supplies. Sponsorships are $10/month/child. One-time donations are accepted any time. Checks can be made out to CCL with a notation that the funds are for KCM. Online giving is also available. Go to the "Give" tab at the top of the page and then follow the directions. 100% of donations go to fund this project. Our sponors and donors are the only consistent contributors to this ministry. Talk to Bill or Sue Loveridge for more information.
Christian Encounter Ranch
Christian Encounter Ministries (CEM) has been dedicated to the purpose of reclaiming damaged young people for more than forty years. Since its inception in 1970, CEM has provided a safe haven for troubled youth where they can begin the process of the restoration of their physical, emotional, academic, and spiritual lives. Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills north of Sacramento, Christian Encounter has an 86-acre ranch with facilities for twelve to eighteen residents, and is currently accepting females between the ages of 16 and 25, and males between the ages of 16 and 21. For more information, see their website http://www.christianencounter.org
Doug & Destiny Calhoun
Doug and Destiny spent years in the mission field in Uganda. After starting a church in Uganda and raising it up to be self sufficient, they have moved to New Zealand and are pastoring/growing a church there.
Bev has worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship for decades and has taught and developed curriculum for CEF. She has been to Africa and Asia, working with children and children's workers. She continues to teach 5-day clubs, VBS's and Good News Clubs while continuing to work with churches and presenting at conferences.
Jim & Anna Mensie
Jim and Anna started a church in Seine Bight, Belize where they minister to the community, including volunteer teaching in the schools. Prior to that, Jim and Anna were on staff with Calvary Chapel, Truckee. While there they used to come one Sunday evening a month to CCL and lead a time of music worship.
Bobby & Noemi Pino
Bobby and Noemi run the Asian Christian School of Ministry in Dumaguete, the Philippines. Bobby is also the President of the Philippine Independent Assembly Fellowships and as such oversees a multitude of churches on several islands. They have hosted many of our mission trips.
Brad & Sue Smeltzer
Brad and Sue are Bible translators for Wycliffe. We are fortunate that, thanks to technology, they can work from Loyalton. Brad is an elder at CCL. Brad travels to Mali twice a year for a month at a time to work with various translation project teams. Officially, they have retired from Wycliffe but continue to work on as volunteers while drawing retirement. Expenses for the ministry (Brad's travel to Mali twice a year, office expenses, etc.) now are raised through donations. As they are not employed by Wycliffe, CCL is handling all donations. Checks should be written to CCL with "Bible Translation" or "Soninke Project" on the memo line. Online donating is available. Go to the "Give" tab at the top of the page and follow the directions. 100% of the donations will go for the project expenses.
Mission Lazarus is a non-profit that ignites generational change in Honduras and Haiti by developing its raw potential to enrich lives now and forever. CCL purchases coffee and has supported various special projects including a trip to Haiti to assist in building a school. For more information see their website https://missionlazarus.org

The Southern Baptist Convention was formed with a Gospel vision. Its founding charter identifies its singular focus: . . . for the purpose of eliciting, combining, and directing the energies of the Baptist denomination of Christians, for the propagation of the Gospel. Mother's Bosom Orphanage
Joshua Naing and his wife felt the call to help orphans in Myanmar. We were able to assist in gathering funds for a piece of land that will house the orphanage and the church that Joshua pastors. We are priveleged to help support.
