Our Missions and Missionaries

Kids Care Mission

Kids Care Mission is sort of an "auxilliary" mission of our church.  Funded entirely by donations and sponsorships, KCM serves needy children in Maquina, Dungu-on and Bais City on the island of Negros in the Philippines.  Children receive weekly Bible lessons, games and a meal (often their best meal of the week). A monthly gathering after church feeds their families, and food to take home is distributed.  School-age children also receive school supplies.  Sponsorships are $10/month/child.  One-time donations are accepted any time.  Checks can be made out to CCL with a notation that the funds are for KCM.  Online giving is also available.  Go to the "Give" tab at the top of the page and then follow the directions.  100% of donations go to fund this project. Our sponors and donors are the only consistent contributors to this ministry.  Talk to Bill or Sue Loveridge for more information.

Brad & Sue Smeltzer

Brad and Sue are Bible translators for Wycliffe.  We are fortunate that, thanks to technology, they can work from Loyalton.  Brad is an elder at CCL. Brad travels to Mali twice a year for a month at a time to work with various translation project teams.  Officially, they have retired from Wycliffe but continue to work on as volunteers while drawing retirement.  Expenses for the ministry (Brad's travel to Mali twice a year, office expenses, etc.) now are raised through donations.  As they are not employed by Wycliffe, CCL is handling all donations. Checks should be written to CCL with "Bible Translation" or "Soninke Project" on the memo line.  Online donating is available.  Go to the "Give" tab at the top of the page and follow the directions.  100% of the donations will go for the project expenses.
